More on the theme

By Aoife Moggan, childhood cancer survivor and advocate and curator of the art exhibition

The theme for this years exhibition is BUILDING CONNECTIONS. We invite anyone touched by childhood cancer to use art as a medium to explore, celebrate and highlight the many connections made between patients, families, caregivers and communities. Hopefully this creativity can also help process, heal and forge connections within oneself.

Just as each cancer journey is unique each artistic journey is too. Whether it be painting, sculpture, photography or writing we would love to see all forms of artistic expression! Every story is important to us and could inspire, comfort and connect with those that are walking a similar path.

Ultimately there is no wrong answer because however YOU choose to depict ‘Building Connections’ is how YOU feel therefore it can’t be wrong.

Art has a wonderful ability to establish connections and with your help I believe this exhibition will be a creative and inspiring space that people will connect with.
